• Beauty and the Beast (2017) - Original characters are not allowed in this exchange. You may nominate a genderswapped character "& None" and put OC shipping in your optional details, and we will approve this as "F!Gaston & None" at the end of nominations if it is not changed.


• Cousins' War - TV Series - the canonical tag for the TV adaptation of the Cousins' War book trilogy appears to be "The White Queen (TV)" - is that not correct?


• Marvel 616 and X-Men Comicsverse - These were nominated and initially approved separately. Specifically, however, the Maximoffs, Lorna Dane, Jean Grey, and Scott Summers were nominated under 616, who appear to be X-Men, while Victor von Doom was nominated under X-Men, who seems to mainly appear in other parts of the Marvel Comics universe. Can the nominator or nominators shed any light on how these are typically handled?


• A World of Ice & Fire/Fire & Blood - George R. R. Martin - We can see that this book doesn't have a canonical fandom tag of its own but all the characters in it are canonically subtagged to the ASOIAF books. Is this typically treated by fans as a separate fandom from the ASOIAF books?

We have outstanding queries about Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Dragon Age, Andromeda Six, The Arcana, The Elementalists.

I nominated Marvel 616. Marvel 616 is the main universe of Marvel comics and most of the X-Men comics take place in it. Almost every character from the X-Men comics can also be justified in Marvel 616. For example, Pietro Maximoff has been a member of the Avengers and been a member of X-Factor. Victor Von Doom is partially responsible for the events that led to most mutants being depowered, which is still impacting X-Men comics today.

I personally don't care if you leave X-Men comics split from Marvel 616 or merge them into 616. Especially since X-Men comics would include some stories set on other Earths. But I don't want my 616 noms moved over to X-Men Comics.

Okay, unless we hear otherwise in the next couple of hours we'll just re-associate the X-Men Comicverse tags with 616 and approve yours as nominated.

I'm the person who nominated A World of Ice & Fire/Fire & Blood - George R. R. Martin. A World of Ice & Fire and Fire & Blood are supplementary books to the main A Song of Ice and Fire series and are set in the same world as the main series. (More of a Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion situation than anything else, though, because the supplementary books are set before the timeline of the main book series and there's very little overlap in events.)

I don't particularly mind if it's combined with the ASOIAF tag, but the reason I nominated the characters under a separate fandom is that while some of the characters are briefly mentioned in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, they're a lot more fleshed out in Fire & Blood and A World of Ice & Fire. Most people (including myself) do just post fanworks in the ASOIAF tags. I wouldn't necessarily expect anyone who was familiar with the ASOIAF book series to be familiar with the supplementary books, and some of the characters I nominated are mentioned in the ASOIAF book series.

Not the nominator for the Cousins' War TV Series, but there are three separate mini-series adaptations: The White Queen, The White Princess, and the Spanish Princess. There's definitely a lot of overlap in characters between the three, and they're in the same continuity and have significant overlap in their stories and references to each other, but AO3 doesn't have an overall meta tag for whatever reason.

If the nominator wants characters who appeared in more than one of the mini-series (which is basically all of the main characters) then it might make more sense to nominate the entire sequence.

That makes sense, we just wanted to check if people were in the habit of using one as an umbrella tag in the absence of a canonical tag for the whole series. We're happy to approve as is.
