• Fire Emblem: Three Houses, F!Lysithea von Ordelia/F!Balthus: Is this a typo for M!Lysithea, or did you mean regular Lysithea (which would not need the F!)?


• Les Miserables - All Media Types: Per the rules, All Media Types is not allowed when it refers to a multitude of adaptations. Please change this to specify, or we will approve as "Les Miserables - Victor Hugo" at the end of nominations.


• Newsies - All Media Types and The Music Man - All Media Types - While the issue with these is not as pronounced as the Les Mis issue above, please do specify the musical or the film. If these are not specified, we will approve at the end of nominations as "Newsies (1992)" and "The Music Man - Willson."


• Revolutionary Arc - kitsunerei88 (fic) - This appears to be recursive fanfiction of murkybluematter's Rigel Black fanfiction series, which is already in the tagset. The nominator of that one has made the case for how it is different from its source canon of Harry Potter. Please explain your nomination.


• Shadow and Bone (TV), F!Jesper Fahey & Any: Per the rules, "Any" is not allowed. If this is not changed by the end of nominations, we will approve it as "F!Jesper Fahey & None" (which is already in the tagset).

We still have some open requests for clarification in post 1: Dragon Age, Andromeda Six, The Arcana, The Elementalists, The Long Ballad.

So, Revolutionary Arc. You're right, it is a fic of the Rigel Black Chronicles; none of the characters are genderbent from RBC, so I don't think it needs justification there.
However, it has a very different plot and a different set of characters, and some of the characters who are in both are fundamentally changed--every nomination I've made includes at least one character who's a Rev Arc original (and thus can't really be asked for in the context of RBC) or who is fundamentally changed by Rev Arc such that the sort of fics one might write about them would be fundamentally different depending on which story you accept as your canon.

Can you elaborate? You're right that this might not need justification on the grounds of "nominated genderswapped character is already a canon character," but more detail about why this should be considered a separate canon would be helpful.

tbh I'm not entirely sure what to say here--as I said before, the plot goes in a very different direction (a lot more elaboration on the American side of things, a completely different Triwizard Tournament, and then political turmoil and a war and bits and pieces of what happens afterwards--none of that, and the character moments and development that come with it, are in RBC) and there are characters I'm interested in seeing who are original to Rev Arc. All of the nominated character sets include at least one of the following three characters: John Kowalski, Francesca Lam, and Aldon Rosier.
John and Francesca are original to Rev Arc; they're not in RBC at all, so obviously I can't nominate them there.
Aldon is in RBC, but he's got a different backstory and character arc there; I'm interested in F!Aldon "halfblood bastard truthspeaker spymaster" Rosier (the version of him in Rev Arc), not F!Aldon "pureblood heir" Rosier (the version of him in RBC).
